An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Resurrection, the 1927 Edwin Carewe silent Russia romantic crime epic melodrama (based on the novel "by Count Leo Tolstoy"; about a country girl being seduced and then abandoned by a prince, who then discovers later that she committed murder because of what he did to her; she is sentenced to Siberia, and he realizes that her life turned out as it did because of him, so he follows her to Siberia) starring Rod La Rocque, Dolores Del Rio, Marc MacDermott, Rita Carewe, and Lucy Beaumont. Note that this classic novel by Tolstoy had been filmed three times before this in the U.S., and was filmed again in 1931 and in 1934! Also note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
