An Original 1937 (from the first release of this movie in Denmark) Vintage Theatrical Danish Movie Program (measures 5 3/4" x 8" [15 x 20 cm]; 10 pages) (Learn More)

Port-Arthur (released in the U.S. in 1941 as "Orders From Tokyo"), the 1936 Nicolas Farkas French Russo-Japanese War melodrama ("A Thrilling Drama Of Russian Heroism vs. Japanese Treachery."; based on the novel by Pierre Frondaie) starring Danielle Darrieux, Anton Walbrook, Charles Vanel, Jean-Max, and Jean Worms. Note that this is a bizarre movie! This is the French-language version of the film, and there was also a German-language version which was filmed at the same time. Both versions were directed by Nicolas Farkas and starred Anton Walbrook. This French-language version was released in the U.S. under the title "Orders From Tokyo" in 1941 by A.F.E. Pictures. We have also seen a 1940 U.S. lobby card from Columbia studio that was titled "I Give My Life", which was the title used for the Australian (perhaps English as well) release. Perhaps the lobby card is from an aborted U.S. release? If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Artist: Erik Frederiksen
Important Added Info: As mentioned in the Film Description, there was a French-language version of this movie, and there was also a German-language version which was filmed at the same time. Except for Anton Walbrook, the films had different cast. However, this Danish program lists actors from both movies! We don't know why this occurred, but we have listed the program under this French-language version. Also, note that we have pictured the front cover, the back cover, and an interior 2-page spread from this program.

Condition: very good.
