14 Original Vintage Theatrical French 9" x 11 1/2" [23 x 29 cm] Movie Stills (Learn More)

Fantomas, the 1932 Pal Fejos French detective master thief crime thriller starring Thomy Bourdelle (as Inspector Juve), Tania Fedo, Jean Worms, George Rigaud, Anielka Elter, and Jean Galland (in the title role as Fantomas). It appears this movie was never released in the U.S. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Note that Fantomas is one of the two most legendary French crime figures, the other being Arsene Lupin. Arsene Lupin was introduced in 1905 and Fantomas in 1911. Unlike Arsene Lupin, who was a "gentleman thief", Fantomas would do anything to get what he wanted, including murder! There were quickly dozens of novels, and five silent movie serials were quickly produced in 1913 and 1914. There was a 1920 American serial, but that pretty much only used the name of the character. In 1932 came this first sound version, and movie paper from it is incredibly rare, especially that from the first French release in 1932!
Important Added Info: Note that these are "country of origin" stills for this French movie! Also note that these stills measure 9" x 11 1/2" [23 x 29 cm].

Condition: good. All but one of the stills have punch holes in a border, where they were kept in a binder. One (the portrait of the pretty woman) has had its blank borders neatly trimmed off. All have varying amounts of wear around the edges and some have some smudges and stains around the edges, with a few scuffs and faint smudges scattered in some of the images. Please look closely at our super-sized image to get an exact sense of the condition these stills are in.
