If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this poster. The buyer of that poster has now reconsigned it to us, so this is still the only example of this poster we have ever auctioned! Note that, as noted above, this famous novel was adapted into many stage plays after it was first written. However, we were able to find a number of newspaper ads from 1913 that had the exact tagline that is on this poster, so that makes us feel that it is almost certainly from the 1913 production, which toured the country, and had major runs in New York and Chicago. Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had some small paper loss scattered in the middle horizontal fold, with a lesser amount of wear on the other folds. It had smudges scattered in the white letters and tears and areas of paper loss around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Learn More about condition grades
