Date Sold 7/3/2011 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. a lot of 30 issues of Monster Times horror magazines ("World's first newspaper of horror and fantasy"). This was a newspaper published in the early 1970s by Larry Brill and Les Waldstein. They were a pair of New York entrepreneurs who published similar newspapers devoted to sex movies, and they had the idea to create a monster newspaper! They approached Bruce Hershenson about being the editor, but he was about to move to Las Vegas, so they hired Joe Brancatelli. Each issue was part newspaper and part magazine (similar to Rolling Stone). Measurements: each measures approximately 8 1/2" x 12"Condition: good to very good. Some of the magazines are in "very good" condition, some are in "good to very good", and a few are just in "good" condition.
