An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Mexican Export Movie Poster (measures 27 1/2" x 39 1/4" [70 x 100 cm]) (Learn More) La Romana (released in the U.S. in 1956 as "Woman of Rome"), the 1954 Luigi Zampa French/Italian Italy romantic painter's artist model melodrama ("'I don't have to marry him, just because I undress in front of him...'"; "The streets were her battlefield ...men were her enemies!"; "Love was her profession... men were her career!"; "Based on Alberto Moravia's startling best seller") starring Gina Lollobrigida, Daniel Gelin, Raymond Pellegrin, Pina Piovani, Franco Fabrizi, Luigi Zampa, and Xenia Valderi. Note that this movie was not released internationally in most countries until 1956 or 1957, because in between the making of the movie and those dates, Lollobrigida had become a major star! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Jeba Pucitef Important Added Info: Note also that this is a Mexican export poster, meaning that it was printed in Mexico for use in other Spanish-speaking countries (they are typically printed on a different kind of paper from regular Mexican posters, and these often have a silkscreen image, and sometimes "Pel Mex" is the distributor). Condition: good to very good. This Mexican poster is somewhat fragile. Mexican posters were printed on a paper stock that often ages very poorly, and also darkens. This poster has darkened somewhat and is more fragile along the foldlines (but of course, any talented restorer could linenback the poster, after which it would look great).
