Date Sold 3/29/2012Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 3 Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Danny Boy, the 1946 Terry O. Morse United States Marine Corps (USMC) German Shepherd canine dog hero military kidnapping crime melodrama ("Marine Hero of the K-9 Corps... comes home!"; "The Devil Dog Jap Killer!") starring Robert 'Buzzy' Henry, Ralph Lewis, Sybil Merritt, Helen Brown, Walter Soderling, Joseph Gramby, Michael McGuire, and Ace the Wonder Dog (in the title role as Danny Boy; billed as "'Ace' the dog as the devil dog Jap killer!"). Note that this movie was made as World War II (WWII) was coming to a close, but was apparently released right after the end of the war. One hopes that we will never see the likes of a tagline like "The Devil Dog Jap Killer!" again! Note that Ace the Wonder Dog had his first role in 1938's "Blind Alibi" (playing a seeing eye dog). He appeared in 15 movies stretching over 8 years. If anyone knows more about Ace the Wonder Dog, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: good to very good. There is staining on the back of the cards that bleeds through to the front around the edges and has caused some light rippling throughout. There is small paper loss in the right edge of the top card pictured. Note that these lobby cards have no tape whatsoever on the front or back, and they have never had any restoration of any kind!
