An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Alfred Hitchcock is perhaps the most famous English director of all-time, directing many groundbreaking and classic movies from 1921 to 1976. He would often appear briefly in his own movies as a gag. Some of his movies include: Rear Window (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film), North By Northwest, Psycho (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film), Vertigo, Strangers on a Train, Notorious, Rebecca (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film), Shadow of a Doubt, The 39 Steps, The Lady Vanishes, The Birds, Dial M for Murder, Lifeboat (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film), Spellbound, The Man Who Knew Too Much (he made this one TWICE!), The Trouble with Harry, and many, many more! He passed away in 1980 at the age of 80. Important Added Info: Note that this still is undated, but it shows the youngest Alfred Hitchcock we have seen. It seems quite possible it is from the 1920s, but it is also quite possible that it is from one of his 1930s movies, and that they were showing how he looked when he was younger. It is clearly a vintage still and would seem to surely date from the 1930s or earlier. If anyone knows more about this still, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: very good. There is a tiny semi-circular tear in the bottom left of the background area. Learn More about condition grades
