An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) The Tiger's Cub, the 1920 Charles Giblyn Alaska adventure crime melodrama ("from the Great Stage Success by George Goodchild") starring Pearl White (in the title role as Tiger's Cub), Thomas Carrigan, Jack Baston, John Davidson, and Frank Evans. Note that Pearl White is of course the most famous female silent serial star, but after many injuries from her roles, she decided that she wanted to quit serials, and she turned to "serious acting", but she became addicted to painkillers and alcohol after she was injured on the set of The Perils of Pauline. She retired in 1924 and passed away in 1938, when she was just 49. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: fair to good. There is deterioration of some sort in the play dates area (see our image). There is also smudging and some staining on the glass and on the black tape. Learn More about condition grades
