An Original Vintage Linenbacked Polish Festival Poster (measures 25 1/2" x 36" [65 x 91 cm]) (Learn More) Kino Wedlug Chandlera (literally translates to "Cinema According to Chandler"), the 1988 Polish film festival that featured several films by American novelist and screenwriter, Raymond Chandler (who created the fictional detective Philip Marlowe). The festival celebrated the 100th anniversary of Chandler's birth, and this poster features Waldemar Swierzy art of Humphrey Bogart as Marlowe from the 1946 film The Big Sleep. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Waldemar Swierzy Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster was never folded. It had some creases and scuffs scattered throughout. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well!
