An Original Vintage 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Photo (Learn More) Sharon Tate was an actress from the 1960s. Some of her movies include: The Fearless Vampire Killers, Eye of the Devil, Valley of the Dolls, The Americanization of Emily, and Rosemary's Baby. She was married to director Roman Polanski, and was tragically murdered by Charles Manson's followers in 1969, when she was 26 years old, and 8 1/2 months pregnant. Important Added Info: Note that this candid photograph has a stamp on the back from Irv Steinberg (see our image). While the photo is surely from the photographer, there is no way to know when it was printed. We think it is NOT from 1968, when the photo was first taken, but likely from the 1980s, based on the paper it is printed on and the photos that it was found with. Please do not bid on this still unless you can accept the uncertainty as to when it is from. We found the following information about this photographer on the Internet: "Mr. Steinberg began taking celebrity photos in New York City in the late 1940s, and was active until he retired to Dallas in the 1970s. Steinberg took his camera to Emmy, Tony and Grammy ceremonies, and to TV variety shows like those of Johnny Carson and Ed Sullivan. Because he became a trusted friend to many of his subjects, they did not avoid him as they would the paparazzi, and his photos showed rare insight. Steinberg photos were published in magazines like Life, Time, People and Newsweek." Condition: very good to fine. The photo is in nice condition. It has clear tape over the two stamps on the back (it does not affect them being read). It seems quite possible that Mr. Steinberg himself put the tape there, so that the stamps would not get obscured (see our images). Learn More about condition grades
