An Original Vintage German Film Program (measures 7 1/4" x 10 1/2" [18 x 27 cm]; 4 pages) (Learn More)

The Admirable Crichton (released in the U.S. in 1958 as "Paradise Lagoon"), the 1957 Lewis Gilbert English shipwreck romantic melodrama ("Shipwrecked in paradise!"; "See what the girls saw in the butler!"; "The hilarious story of what the girls saw in the butler... and what the butler saw in the girls!"; "Based on the play 'The Admirable Crichton' by James M. Barrie"; about a group of upper class English men and women who are shipwrecked on a desert island along with their butler, and he proves to be the only worthwhile person there, but they learn to adapt and be happy in their new setting, until they are "rescued") starring Kenneth More (in the title role as Bill Crichton), Diane Cilento, Cecil Parker, Sally Ann Howes (billed as "Star of My Fair Lady"), Martita Hunt, and Peter Graves. Note that this play was written in 1903 by James M. Barrie (best remembered for creating Peter Pan), and was a great success. There was a film version in 1913, followed by a 1918 English version, and again in the U.S. the following year. It was also filmed in 1934 and this version was filmed in 1957.

Important Added Info: Note that we have provided an image of all the pages of this 4-page program (we did this by opening it and laying it flat and photographing the front and back cover together, and the interior two pages together). This way, you see the entire program, and can well determine the exact condition of it from our super-sized image. But of course this means that the front cover appears in the top right of our image, but normally, the program would be folded down the center and you would view the cover by itself (and it will be sent folded as was originally intended).

Condition: very good to fine.
