An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Argentinean Movie Poster (measures approximately 29" x 43") (Learn More) Death Takes a Holiday, the 1934 Mitchell Leisen romantic afterlife fantasy melodrama ("Men feared him -- Women adored him"; adapted from the play by Alberto Casella; a very interesting story of the literal Death deciding to visit the Earth and discover why people fear him so, and while he is on Earth in human form, everyone stops dying, and of course, he falls in love, and the girl, not knowing who he is, wants to go with him when he returns to his ethereal home!) starring Fredric March (in the title role as "Death"/Prince Sirki), Evelyn Venable, Guy Standing (billed as "Sir Guy Standing"), Kent Taylor, Henry Travers, and Kathleen Howard NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is a VERY unusual poster! It clearly IS an Argentinean poster (based on both the size and the paper quality, although it does not say "printed in Argentina" or anything like that anywhere on it). But in every other way, it STRONGLY resembles a Swedish poster of the 1930s, which was the only country we know of which used black & white photos along with a deco design. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: very good. Learn More about condition grades
