He also was Director of Advertising and Publicity at Columbia Pictures, and he later taught screenwriting at UCSB. Important Added Info: Note that this item has been personally autographed (signed) by Paul Lazarus! It is written on United Artists stationery, and Mr. Lazarus is asking a theater owner to make an extra effort to promote John Garfield's "Body and Soul", because "it is the kind of picture that responds to advertising, publicity, and exploitation". The man Lazarus wrote to replied on the back of the letter, and he typed that he would "do everything to sell this attraction in situations I cover"!
