A Group of 17 Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Stills (five of them ranging in size from 10" x 12 1/4" to 10 1/4" x 13 1/2"; the other twelve measure 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm]) (Learn More) Walt Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the classic 1937 David Hand Walt Disney animated animation family romantic fairy-tale fantasy musical cartoon ("His first full length feature production"; "In the Marvelous Multiplane Technicolor"; "Behold The Miracle of the Movies! Coming to amaze you, charm you, thrill you!"; "With Eight new songs as catching as 'The Big Bad Wolf.'"; "To thrill you"; "Merriment!"; "Melody!"; "Magic!"; "The dwarfs sing their marching song on the way to work."; "Walt Disney's first full length feature production"; "The show sensation of the generation!"; "Wondrously filmed in all the glories of the marvelous multiplane Technicolor"; "The Screen's Supreme Thrill! 1,000 artists worked three years to give you this once-in-a-lifetime show!... A full hour and a half of the most enthralling entertainment you ever experienced... truly the miracle in motion pictures!") featuring the voices of Adriana Caselotti (in the title role as Snow White), Harry Stockwell (as the Prince), Lucille La Verne, Moroni Olsen, and Stuart Buchanan. Note that this movie is always referred to as a "1937" movie, but it actually only had a limited opening in December 1937 (no doubt to qualify for the Oscars), and then it had its wide opening in February 1938. But because it is always referred to as being from 1937, we refer to it that way as well (and of course, it is technically correct). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Gustaf Tenggren Important Added Info: This represents a remarkable find. Not only are there twelve 1937 original 8" x 10" stills, each of which has a paper snipe attached, but there are also five stills that measure between 10" x 12 1/4" and 10 1/4" x 13 1/2"! The five are all on deluxe paper and none have any printing or snipes on the back. One of the five has the classic Tenggren art from the one-sheet, one is a "model sheet" of the Seven Dwarfs, and the other three are great scenes from the film. The twelve 8" x 10" stills also have really nice scenes from the movie. Oversized stills from this movie are extremely rare. The person who purchases this group of 17 stills would likely not be able to purchase 17 more over a multi year period, even if they searched high and low for them! Condition: good to very good. The 8" x 10" stills all have discoloration at the bottom caused by the glue from the snipe attached in that area. This discoloration varies from still to still, so look at our super-sized images. The stills have also mostly changed to a sepia color (some more than others). The oversized stills have some border wear, but are otherwise in pretty nice condition (again, see our images).
