Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Special Comic Book Poster (measures 22" x 34") (Learn More)

Drewstar was the first comic-book series published by American publisher Epic Comics, an imprint of Marvel Comics, in 1982. Created by Jim Starlin & Peter David, it was centered on Vanth Dreadstar, sole survivor of the entire Milky Way galaxy, and an ensemble cast of crew mates, including cyborg sorcerer Syzygy Darklock, and their struggle to end an ancient war between two powerful, evil empires: The Church of The Instrumentality, run by the Lord Papal; and the Monarchy, administered by a puppet king.

Important Added Info: Note that this special comic book poster measures 22" x 34" and is folded. Note that this comic book poster (and the other eight) comic book posters we are selling this week came from a man who worked at Universal pictures in the 1960s to 1980s. We have no idea what purpose these posters served, but he acquired them as samples that were sent to the Universal offices. Perhaps Universal was considering collaborating with Marvel Comics on creating movie versions of some of these, which would explain why he would have these posters. We don't know if any of these posters were ever sold commercially. The examples offered here may be extremely rare and could even be the only surviving examples of these posters!

Condition: very good. minor creases and scuffs along the foldlines and around the edges of the poster; poster was oddly folded off-center meaning that it doesn't form a perfect rectangle when folded
