An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More)

The Horror, the 1932 Bud Pollard F.P. Pictures India monster horror thriller ("Chills and thrills in a drama of mystery and madness!"; "A Bud Pollard Production") starring Leslie King, Jimmie Kelo, Ilene Myers, Reed Brown Jr., Gus Alexander, John Gray, Raja Rabold, and Nyreda Montez. This is a lost movie, although approximately half of it survives, but it is not a complete half, as it is a heavily edited version. Someone who viewed this fragment says that the movie concerns a man who stole an idol from an Indian temple, and was cursed for it, and that caused him to have hallucinations, and ultimately he is driven mad by the curse. Movie paper of any kind from this film is extremely scarce. Some show an ape-like creature, a snake, and a deformed man. Those images are likely from the hallucination scenes, and the deformed man is from a scene where the lead character has a "Jekyll and Hyde" transformation! If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
Important Added Info:
NOTE: Most lobby cards from before 1940 (and some from after that date) did not have individual lobby card numbers like later lobby cards (those printed after the advent of NSS in 1940) did. So we have arbitrarily assigned numbers to unnumbered lobby cards, only when we sell more than one from a set, so that there is a convenient way to tell different scenes apart. (Note that we do not use #1, because this is commonly used to signify the title card). The exception to this is sets of cards that did not have title cards.

Condition: good to very good. There are tears and three small areas of paper loss in the middle of the girl's dress. Otherwise, the card is in pretty nice condition! Note that this card is completely unrestored and has never had any restoration of any kind, nor has there been any tape on the front or back of the card. The back of the card is completely blank, with no writing or stamps.
