An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Style A One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Incendiary Blonde, the 1945 George Marshall New York/Texas romantic musical biography ("Blazing across the lights of Broadway - the skyrocket story of the Texas Bombshell"; "Original screen play by Claude Binyon & Frank Butler"; a fictionalized biography of famed Texas entertainer Texas Guinan; about her advancement from poor childhood to Queen of the Night Clubs) starring Betty Hutton (as Texas Guinan), Arturo de Cordova, Charles Ruggles, Albert Dekker, Barry Fitzgerald, Mary Phillips, Bill Goodwin, Eduardo Ciannelli (billed as "Edward Ciannelli"), The Maxellos, and Maurice Rocco. Note that this movie was filmed in 1943, but was not released until 1945, but it was then a huge hit! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: fair to good. This poster has been linenbacked, but it was not very well done, either because the restorer did not do a very good job, or because the years since it has been linenbacked have not been kind to the poster. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. Generally, it had paper loss at the crossfolds and creases, tears, and stains on the foldlines and in the borders (and some of them had tape on the back which bled through to the front). The poster was not that well backed, because you can see signs of the above general defects and the restoration of the defects (in some cases, as should be immediately evident in our image, the linenbacker did no restoration to some of the defects). I would think few collectors would want to display it as it is, without someone performing some additional restoration. Certainly, a talented restorer could perform additional restoration (either with or without re-backing the poster), but it might be fairly expensive to have this done, so bear that in mind before you place a bid. Note that the poster is mounted onto an extremely thin linen. Learn More about condition grades
