An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Local Theater Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 18" x 22" [46 x 56 cm]) (Learn More)

Rainbow Man, the 1929 Fred C. Newmeyer musical family relationship comedy melodrama ("The Rainbow Man is coming to bring you happiness"; "Paramount's All-Talking-Singing Musical Drama"; "Also Short Sound Subjects"; "See and Hear Eddie Dowling in a Paramount All Taking Singing Sensation"; "Story by Eddie Dowling"; about a singer who takes in the orphan son of his best friend, and he feels overwhelmed, but he meets a girl who is the boy's aunt, and they find love and a happy family together) starring Eddie Dowling (in the title role as Rainbow Ryan), Marian Nixon, Frankie Darro, Sam Hardy, and Lloyd Ingraham

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this window card was made for a specific local theater (the "Opera House" in Bangor, Maine). Often larger theaters would hire local artists to create their own "local theater window cards" like this one. They would often feature artwork that appeared on no other posters, and they were NOT issued by the studio that released the movie. Note that this poster closely resembles the San Francisco "trolley cards" of the same time period, and it seems quite possible like the same artist that did those did this one (or perhaps even the same art was used for both).

Condition: good. There are some smudges, scuffs, and tiny stains scattered in the poster, but it still displays pretty well. It appears that it is possible that the card was slightly trimmed, but we don't know, because we don't know of a reference of a larger one (if it was trimmed, only blank white borders were affected).
