An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 18" [36 x 46 cm]) (Learn More)

Moonlight Murder, the 1936 Edwin L. Marin murder mystery melodrama ("20,000 eyes looked... And no one saw!"; a wacky story of an opera tenor who is warned by a mystic that he will be killed if he performs at the next night's performance, and of course, it happens, and after a massively complicated plot, it turns out that he was killed through poison gas hidden in his microphone, and that the person who did it was actually his best friend, who poisoned him because he unknowingly had a terminal disease that would kill him painfully, and the friend was performing a mercy killing!) starring Chester Morris, Madge Evans, Leo Carrillo, Frank McHugh, Benita Hume, Grant Mitchell, Katherine Alexander, J. Carrol Naish, and Duncan Renaldo

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that it looks like the left, right, and bottom borders might have been trimmed, but actually, they were printed with a "full bleed", something MGM was doing at the time, which means there were no white borders when the card was printed (although the top blank area has been neatly trimmed off). Also note that this window card was never folded. Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded.

Condition: fair to good. The card was in a frame and most of the blank top was trimmed off. There are tears, pinholes, and some paper loss around the edges, with many tape repairs on the back of the borders. There are some stains and smudges in the image, with some creases and tears running through the image. Please do not bid on this card unless you can accept its defects described above or are willing to pay to have them properly restored.
