A Linenbacked 1980 Commercial Poster (made to be sold directly to the public; measures 24 1/2" x 36 1/2" [62 x 93 cm]) (Learn More)

Muhammad Ali (born Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr. and nicknamed "The Greatest") was the most famous boxer from the 1960s to the 1980s (in 1999, he was named the most famous sports celebrity of the entire 20th century). Ali is the first and only three-time lineal World Heavyweight Champion. Some of his movies include: Freedom Road, The Greatest, and When We Were Kings. He was as famous for his activities outside the ring, including his refusal to serve in Vietnam (he was a "conscientious objector"), his conversion to being Muslim, and his long devotion to that faith, and his political activism! He passed away in 2016 at the age of 74. We will not see his like again!
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this poster was created in 1980, when Muhammad Ali was stripped of his championship title, but he vowed "I shall return", and he certainly did! Also note that we have never before auctioned this poster!
