Cline & George Marshall family relationship romantic circus screwball comedy ("Original Story by Charles Bogle", which was one of Fields' many pseudonyms!) starring W.C. Fields, Edgar Bergen, Charlie McCarthy, Mortimer Snerd (billed as "Mortimer"), Constance Moore, Mary Forbes, Thurston Hall, Princess Baba (as herself), John Arledge, Charles Coleman, Edward Brophy, Arthur Hohl, Blacaman, and Eddie 'Rochester' Anderson. Note that Charlie McCarthy was Edgar Bergen's ventriloquist dummy, but in the movie he is treated as though he is a human boy, and there is almost no reference to Bergen talking "for" McCarthy! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this 1939 first release half-sheet! Also note that while this poster could conceivably be rolled, it is very old, and it would not make sense to roll it, as rolling it would have a good chance of damaging it. Therefore we will send it in a very large flat package, unless the new owner insists on us rolling it and will accept responsibility for the chance of damage. Please bear that extra shipping cost in mind BEFORE placing a bid on this poster! The poster is not fragile, but we strongly advise against trying to roll it, because it would be such a shame to damage it when the image area has survived so long in nearly perfect condition. Condition: very good. The poster was never folded. It has many tiny pairs of staple holes in the borders, with some darkening in the borders. The image area is in really nice condition!
