An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) The Man Between, the 1923 Finis Fox silent romantic love triangle mistaken identity crime thriller (about a man who leaves his wife to be with a showgirl, but the showgirl has already married another man; the two men get into a fight and the showgirl's husband is killed, so the man goes to prison for muder, where he meets another man who looks exactly like himself; the lookalike gets out of prison and assumes the identity of the other man who is still locked up and romances the wife, who finds out the truth, but she doesn't seem to mind at all!) starring Allan Forrest (in a dual role as the man who leaves his wife and his prisoner lookalike), Vola Vale, Edna Murphy, Fred Malatesta, Kitty Bradbury, "and an all-star cast". Note that it was a pretty common plot device in silent movies to not only have people meet their exact double, but also to then go on to impersonate them. I wonder if this happens much in real life! Important Added Info: The slide does not have a cardboard holder, but rather there is black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of older glass slides. We have provided both a high quality scan of the image and also a separate image of how the glass slide looks, but in that digital image, you can really just see the outline of the slide and defects (if any) around the edges. Condition: good. There is fading in the top border and in the top right corner of the image, but only solid colored area is affected.
