An Original Vintage Deluxe 7 1/2" x 9 1/2" [19 x 24 cm] News Photo (Learn More)

Screen Stars Party, the photo that was taken in 1926 when Richard Barthelmess had a party at his Santa Monica house, and all the attendees went to Constance Talmadge's house and gathered together for a portrait by a Hollywood photographer (whose name we cannot read!). It is a marvelous photo that has an incredible group of stars from 1926, which includes Fatty Arbuckle, Mae Murray, Ward Crane, Virginia Valli, Claire Windsor, Ronald Colman, Bessie Love, Constance Talmadge, Jack Pickford, Pola Negri, Rudolph Valentino, Agnes Ayres, Howard Hughes, Blanche Sweet, Norma Talmadge, Beatrice Lillie, Richard Barthelmess, Edmund Goulding, Carmel Myers, Antonio Moreno, and Louella Parsons (the famous gossip columnist). Note that the news photo has an attached snipe that is dated June 19, 1926 (Rudolph Valentino tragically died just two months later!). What an amazing group of celebrities gathered together at one time, and to have Howard Hughes as well (20 years old, and before his great Hollywood success with "Hell's Angels", and before he made any movies at all) is all the more amazing!
Important Added Info: Note that this news photo is printed on deluxe double weight paper stock measures 7 1/2" x 9 1/2" [19 x 24 cm]. It has a paper snipe glued to the bottom (see our image). Someone wrote "Greatest Collection of Film Stars Assembled at one Time" on the back of the snipe, and that certainly does not seem to be much of an exaggeration, given the list of the people in it! Also note that the part of the snipe that is missing affects the names of some of the people present. Very fortunately, someone made a photocopy of the still and wrote the names of most of the famous attendees (there are some of the people who are not identified, but we would imagine most of those are spouses or friends of the celebrities, and not necessarily famous themselves. We listed all of the celebrities we could identify in the description above. If anyone knows the names of any of the unidentified people in the photo, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Condition: good. The photo has small paper loss in each corner and some creases around the edges, with a faint partial diagonal crease in the top right sky area. A portion of the snipe is missing. Please look closely at our super-sized images to get a good sense of the exact condition of this news photo and the snipe.
