An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Italian Locandina Movie Poster (measures approximately 13" x 27") (Learn More) Summer of the Seventeenth Doll (released in 1960 in the U.S. under it's original title and as "Season of Passion"), the 1959 Leslie Norman Australian/English/U.S. romantic relationship melodrama ("So many things boiled inside him - and one woman couldn't drown them all!"; "She got everything she wanted out of love - except marriage!"; "It was a long time away from her...but he'd make up for it this summer!"; "She didn't want to be a summer 'bride' - there had to be a wedding ring!"; "This was what she wanted... to be cradled in his big, strong arms... to hear him tell her that what they had done was right... that they could go on this way... summer after summer after summer!"; "The blistering international stage success is even more exciting on the screen!"; "A few months of love every year... These men took it... These women gave it!"; "That was her great longing..."; "For sixteen Summers they met and loved...and then came the savage storm of the Season of Passion"; "Two men... two women... and two loves..." from the Broadway play by Ray Lawlor) starring Ernest Borgnine, Anne Baxter, John Mills, Angela Lansbury, Vincent Ball, Ethel Gabriel, Janette Craig, Deryck Barnes, Tom Lurich, Al Thomas, and Dana Wilson. Note that, when this movie was released in the U.S., it was re-titled (likely because they felt the original title would make no sense to American audiences), and they listed the movie as "Season of Passion (Formerly 'Summer of the 17th Doll')". But this does not mean those items are re-releases, because they are on all of the first release U.S. items! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Manfredo Condition: very good to fine. The poster had minor wear on the foldline and a pinhole in the middle of the left border. There were some creases and tears in the borders. Overall, the poster was in very good to fine condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, and looks great! Learn More about condition grades
