Important Added Info: Note that we believe this "country of origin" poster is from the very first Italian release of this classic Italian movie, based on the tagline which translates to "Their names and their faces will become familiar as those of the most famous movie actors", which certainly became true as this is considered a classic Italian film! Note that Italian posters from the first few years after World War II are among the most rare posters there are! Apparently, there were still major paper shortages in Italy, and few posters were printed, and most were recycled. So not only is this is an extremely rare first release Italian poster from 1946, but it is from one of the most famous Neo-Realist Italian movies ever! We have only auctioned it twice before, and those examples sold for $1,940 and $1,389! Condition: good to very good. The poster had tears scattered down the top half of the middle vertical fold and in the right half of the top blank border, with some separation on parts of other folds and some tiny paper loss at some crossfolds, and tiny paper loss in the top left blank corner. Someone put conservation tape on the back of many of those tears and separations. There are two small "Oscar" snipes glued to the lower right background area (see our image).
