An Original 1985 (the first release of the mostly completed movie) Vintage Theater-Used One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More)

Queen Kelly, the 1929 Erich von Stroheim historical biographical royalty melodrama starring Gloria Swanson (in the title role as Kitty Kelly/Queen Kelly), Walter Byron, and Seena Owen. Note that this is a legendary movie for film buffs! Paramount Studios financed this production, and von Stroheim went millions over budget, and finally the movie was shut down uncompleted. Two years later, an additional ending scene was filmed by Gregg Toland, in an attempt to create a version that could be released publicly, but von Stroheim successfully blocked that release. It had a minor release in the 1950s, and then in 1985, Kino created a restored version that approximates von Stroheim's original vision, and that version was released at that time. Note that we have seen some information online that slightly disagrees with the above. If anyone knows more about where and when this movie was first released (country by country), please e-mail us and we will post it here.
