An Original Vintage 7 1/2" x 9 3/4" [19 x 25 cm] News Photo (Learn More) Roxanne Arlen was an actress from the 1950s to the 1960s. Some of her movies include: The Best Things in Life Are Free, Gypsy, A House is Not a Home, and The Loved One. She passed away in 1989 at the age of 58. Important Added Info: Note that this is one of a wonderful group of 34 similar news photos we were consigned (and are currently auctioning in 34 separate auctions). Some measure 8" x 10", and some measure a slightly smaller size (and we have put the exact measurements on each). Each one dates from the late 1950s or early 1960s, and each shows a beautiful young "starlet", who was either working as a model and/or wanting to become an actress. Many were from European countries. All of them have stamps and snipes on the back, and while all of the snipes are in English, many have stamps from France, England, or Italy, sometimes from more than one country. We think that these are American publicity stills that were distributed to the above countries, but they certainly could have instead originated in one of those countries and then been distributed to the U.S. (but that seems less likely, given the English language snipes). News photos like this are extremely rare, and we have only auctioned a small number of them over the years, but now we are offering 34 different ones at one time!
