An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Italian Photobusta Movie Poster (pbusta; measures 19 1/4" x 26 1/2" [49 x 67 cm]) (Learn More) La Regina Delle Amazzoni (released in the U.S. in 1964 as "Colossus and the Amazon Queen" and released in other English-speaking countries as "Colossus and the Amazons"), the 1960 Vittorio Sala Italian sword-and-sandal fantasy adventure (about two musclemen who are best friends who end up on an island of Amazon women) starring Dorian Gray, Rod Taylor, Ed Fury, Daniela Rocca, and Gianna Maria Canale. Note that there is a mystery about this movie that a quick search of the Internet did not resolve! This movie was made and released just after "The Time Machine", which was Rod Taylor's big break. But he had been in Hollywood for several years, and this was his only non-U.S. movie. He was Australian and didn't speak Italian, so what made him go to Italy for this one movie (where he didn't even play the lead, but was just the best friend of the male lead)? Also, it is interesting trivia that this movie was not released in the U.S. until 1964, and when it was, it was in a dubbed version, and they had a different English actor dub Rod Taylor's dialog!
