Hudson's unforgettable story of South America... Of Rima, mysterious as she was beautiful... Of the Strange Secret that lay hidden in a forgotten land unknown to man."; "All the adventure and romance of W.H. Hudson's unforgettable story."; "Based On the Novel by William Henry Hudson"; about a young man who encounters a mysterious girl who lives in the Amazon Jungle, and he falls madly in love with her) starring Audrey Hepburn, Anthony Perkins, Sessue Hayakawa, Lee J. Cobb, and Henry Silva. Note that this was originally going to be filmed in 1932 with Joel McCrea and Dolores Del Rio, but the project never got made. In the 1950s, Vincente Minnelli originally started making this movie with Pier Angeli and Edmund Purdom starring, but MGM chiefs hated the early footage, and cancelled the production. Mel Ferrer revived it for his wife Audrey Hepburn, and she turned down the lead role in "The Diary of Anne Frank" to make this. Sadly, it was a massive flop, losing around $2.5 million, a massive amount of money at that time! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: SUPER IMPORTANT! THOUGH ONLY EIGHT OF THE STILLS ARE PICTURED, THE HIGH BIDDER ON THIS LOT WILL RECEIVE 9 STILLS FROM THIS MOVIE (but realize that on some of these lots with 9 or more stills there may be a few duplicates, mostly on post-1960 lots)! We realize there is an element of gambling to this, but we made only a small effort to find the best stills in these lots, and, if you have any willingness to gamble at all, you may find that you get some great stills that were not pictured! Please do NOT bid on this lot unless you can accept that you are only seeing eight of the stills. NOTE: On rare occasions, large lots of 9 or more black-and-white stills like this one can sometimes have one or more duplicated stills, but since we only picture 8 of the stills, if there are duplicates, they are likely not pictured. We try to note when this happens, but we may not catch it every time, so please do not bid on such lots unless you can accept this possibility. Condition: very good to fine. The still pictured at top left has a 1/2" tear in the top right corner, but the stills are in otherwise very nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
