Artist: Georges Allard

Condition: good to very good. The poster had an oval area of paper loss in the white background to the left of the artist's signature at the middle right of the poster (blank white paper only) and there was a larger oval area of paper loss with tears on both sides of it in the lower right blank border (again, solely blank white paper). Otherwise, there was small paper loss at some crossfolds and some creases, tears, and tiny paper loss on parts of some foldlines. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects (the restorer did not make much effort to match the areas of blank paper loss described above, so they are noticeable, but not very distracting, and any talented restorer could perform additional restoration in those areas without re-backing the poster).
