An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Swedish Movie Poster (measures 27 3/4" x 39 1/4" [70 x 100 cm]) (Learn More)

Lawful Larceny, the 1930 Lowell Sherman romantic crime gambling melodrama ("Love Thief vs. Love Thief"; "Terrific drama of disputed love straight to every woman's heart!"; "Stealing love is not a crime! ...saws the Law--but there is a different answer in the heart of every woman"; "Woman... desperate... frantic... ruthless... fighting to hold her man with every weapon God gave her!"; "Thrills for every woman who ever loved"; a really clever movie about a happily married couple, where the husband loses a huge amount of money at an illegal gambling casino run by a woman; he confesses all to his wife, and she poses as a secretary to get a job at the casino, and she becomes the assistant to the owner, enabling her to rob the casino of the money her husband had lost!) starring Bebe Daniels, Kenneth Thompson, Lowell Sherman, Olive Tell, and Purnell Pratt. Note that this movie was a sound remake of a 1923 silent movie of the same name starring Hope Hampton, Conrad Nagel and Nita Naldi. It sounds quite entertaining, and I am surprised that it was not later remade yet again!

Important Added Info:

What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster was never folded. It had an 8" vertical tear near the center of the top border extending down through the "S" of "HENNES". It had some smaller tears in the top border and tiny paper loss in the left of the top border. Otherwise, the poster was in nice condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well!
