Note that Nathan Hale was an American soldier and spy for the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War. He volunteered for an intelligence-gathering mission in New York City but was captured by the British and executed. It has traditionally been reported that his last words, either entirely or in part, were, "I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country." If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have never auctioned one in all our years of auctioning! Condition: good. There is much rippling and some patchy, slight discoloration scattered in portions of the poster due to exposure to moisture. It is otherwise "all there" and this is the kind of poster that responds really well to restoration. It is likely that many or most of the stains and the rippling can be removed chemically during the linenbacking process, and after proper restoration the poster will display well, but bear in mind the poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it.
