Her mother was a dancer, and her father was a violinist and music director, and she definitely inherited all their talent! She moved to Hollywood when she was 11 and devoted herself to dancing and by 13, she was singing and dancing with the Los Angeles Civic Light Opera. At 17, she lied about her age and signed a 7 year contract with 20th Century-Fox. Some of her movies include: South Pacific, There's No Business Like Show Business, Les Girls, We're Not Married!, and The Joker Is Wild. In the mid 1950s, she stopped making movies and performed a lot on television, on awards shows, and also had a nightclub variety act. In the 1960s, she became a featured columnist for The Hollywood Reporter and had a stage show called The Mitzi Gaynor Show from the 1970s to the 1980s. In 2006, her husband of 52 years passed away, but Miss Gaynor is still with us, As of 2021, she is still alive at the age of 89! Important Added Info: Note that one of the stills is in color. NOTE: On rare occasions, large lots of 9 or more black-and-white stills like this one can sometimes have one or more duplicated stills, but since we only picture 8 of the stills, if there are duplicates, they are likely not pictured. We try to note when this happens, but we may not catch it every time, so please do not bid on such lots unless you can accept this possibility. Condition: good to very good. Some of the stills have varying degrees of staple holes, creases, small areas of discoloration and/or scuffs, but several stills are in pretty nice condition. Learn More about condition grades
