An Original Vintage Theatrical Window Card Movie Poster (measures 13 3/4" x 22") (Learn More) Hold That Lion, the 1926 William Beaudine silent Africa jungle exploration safari adventure romantic comedy ("Story by Rosalie Mulhall"; about a society fellow who falls in love, but discovers the girl is going on an expedition to Africa, and he follows her there, and, trying to impress her, he bets that he can capture a lion and bring it back alive!) starring Douglas MacLean, Walter Hiers, Constance Howard, Cyril Chadwick, and Wade Boteler NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has a great image of Douglas MacLean wearing a top hat and tails (but no pants!), sitting at a table with a deck of cards, playing solitaire! We don't know what this has to do with the African jungle lion catching plot, but it makes for a cool image! Also note that this poster has had its right blank border very slightly trimmed and it now measures 13 3/4" x 22". This window card was never folded. Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded. Condition: very good. Note that the window card had black writing in the top blank area, and someone lightly painted over it (although you can see signs of the writing through the paint). There was some paper loss in the left of the top border, and someone taped a replacement piece to that area from the back of the card. They also put a piece of tape on the back of a small tear in the middle of the bottom border. It appears that a tiny bit may have been trimmed from the right edge of the right blank border.
