Date Sold 6/20/2017Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Unfolded Advertising Poster (measures 28" x 42" [71 x 107 cm]) (Learn More) Shredded Wheat is a breakfast cereal made from whole wheat formed into pillow-like biscuits. Henry Perky invented shredded wheat cereal in Colorado in 1890, and was first sold to vegetarian restaurants in 1892, distributing it from a factory in Niagara Falls, New York. Nabisco (National Biscuit Company) bought the company in December 1928, and today it is owned by Kraft Foods. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster was almost surely a promotional poster done in connection with NBC radio (note the tagline "To Members of our NBC Family..."). The woman at the top was likely a host of that show, but we don't recognize her, and there is nothing on the poster to learn more about this connection. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: very good to fine. The poster was never folded and is in really nice condition!
