Rider Haggard] novel"; "It's actually greater than 'Count of Monte Cristo'") starring Cedric Hardwicke, Anna Lee, Paul Robeson (legendary black African American actor, singer, and athlete, who became disenchanted with Hollywood and the U.S. over racism), Roland Young, and John Loder. Note that the great Paul Robeson does not appear on much of the advertising for this movie, no doubt due to the prejudices of the time, which is sad. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that it seems very symbolic of Hollywood's attitude towards black African-Americans in the 1930s that the great Paul Robeson is standing in the shadows behind the four lead stars!
