An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Sherlock Jr., the classic 1924 Buster Keaton silent movie theater detective mystery fantasy slapstick comedy starring Buster Keaton (in the title role as Sherlock Jr.), Kathryn McGuire, Joe Keaton (Buster Keaton's father!), Erwin Connelly, and Ward Crane. Note that just about everyone agrees that this is one of Keaton's absolute best films! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned two scene lobby cards from this classic Buster Keaton comedy, and those auctioned for $1,200 and $1,000! Note that there is a stamp on the back that reads "FROM THE COLLECTION OF Michael R. Hawks", who most would consider the premier lobby card collector and expert in the world (and he is still an active collector, looking for the last few items he needs!). Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good to very good. There was paper loss in the bottom left and right blank corners, and someone glued pieces from another card to those areas (see our images). There are two small tears in the left of the bottom border, a tiny brown stain in the bottom of the right blank border, and an extremely tiny bit of paper loss in the top right blank corner. There is also a tiny pinhole in each left blank corner and a thin strip of darkening in the outer edge of the left blank border. Other than the above defects, which are completely in the blank border areas, the card is in nice condition. Learn More about condition grades
