It's as candid as the Boss when he bawls you out - as true-to-life as the talk in the Ladies' Lounge. It's the big romance you've either had or dreamed about - from the big best-seller of the year. -Kitty Foyle"; "Screen play by Dalton Trumbo"; "Based on the novel 'Kitty Foyle' by Christopher Morley"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Ginger Rogers (winner of the Best Actress Academy Award for this film; in the title role as Kitty Foyle), Dennis Morgan, James Craig, Eduardo Ciannelli, Ernest Cossart, Gladys Cooper, Mary Treen, and K.T. Stevens NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that the IMDb says that this movie was first released in Japan in 1947, but we have our doubts! The Japanese posters we have seen from that year virtually all have an "MPEA" logo, and not only does this poster not have that, but it is almost entirely in Japanese, and it has RKO on it (but not the RKO logo). We strongly suspect that the IMDb is wrong, and that this movie did have a release in Japan in 1940 (after all, the U.S. was not at war with Japan until December of 1941). Also note that the poster has an artist's signature on it, but we cannot make it out in the slightest. If anyone knows more about any of the above, please e-mail us and we will post it here. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster was folded across the middle at one time. It had some uneven light discoloration in the background areas, with slight staining around the edges. It is impossible to know if the paper was like that when it was printed or if it is a defect acquired since it was printed. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, with no real restoration. Learn More about condition grades
