An Original 1921 Vintage Theatrical Folded Three-Sheet Movie Poster (3sh; measures 41" x 81" [104 x 206 cm]) (Learn More) A Child For Sale, the 1920 Ivan Abramson New York City Greenwich Village silent family relationship tragedy melodrama ("Would you sell Your Baby? What is Your Baby Worth?"; "Dramatic thunderbolt"; about a poor artist who is so desperate that he sells his daughter to pay the rent money, but he brings her home when her brother protests; after many more misadventures, the family finally finds a stable place to live) starring Gladys Leslie, Creighton Hale, Bobby Connelly, Julia Swayne Gordon, Anna Lehr, William Tooker, and Ruth Sullivan (as the child) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this three-sheet, which was printed in 3 sections designed to overlap, is from when this movie went into its "roadshow" release after it had played at the "Metropolitan Opera House" in Philadelphia, for a $1 admission price. It played there (likely exclusively), and then went to other towns, where the admission price was 35 cents. We found an ad from 1921 for a theater in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, and this three-sheet is likely from around that time, and it would have been from the 1921 continuous release. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: good. The poster is fragile and there are tears and tiny pieces of paper loss around the edges and on parts of some folds. Learn More about condition grades
