An Original Vintage Unfolded Political Campaign Poster (measures 17 1/2" x 22 1/2" [44 x 57 cm]) (Learn More) Pedro Albizu Campos was a Puerto Rican attorney and politician from the 1910s to the 1960s. After being subjected to racism in World War I (WWI) and being denied his law diploma (a professor delayed his exams to avoid the "embarrassment" of having a Puerto Rican valedictorian!), Campo moved to Puerto Rico and passed the bar exam. He went on to advocate for Puerto Rican independence, becoming Vice President of the Puerto Rican Nationalist Party! Campos passed away in 1965 at the age of 73. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. The poster was never folded. There is a tiny snipe at middle left.
