Alan Ladd was a major leading actor from the 1930s to the 1960s. Surprisingly, he appeared in a number of movies before he became a major star with his portrayal as a hired killer in "This Gun For Hire" in 1941. Some of his movie roles include: Shane, The Carpetbaggers, The Glass Key, The Blue Dahlia, and Two Years Before the Mast. He married much older Sue Carol, who had been a major actress in the 1920s and early 1930s, and who had become an agent. They remained married until he passed away in 1964. AND Veronica Lake, who is best remembered from the 1940s as the sexy girl in many film noirs. Her best loved movies include Sullivan's Travels, This Gun For Hire, So Proudly We Hail!, The Glass Key, Hold Back the Dawn, The Blue Dahlia, I Married a Witch, and Star Spangled Rhythm Measurements: from 4 1/4" x 10 1/4" to 7" x 10"Condition: very good.
