Woodbury Complete Beauty Cream does more for beauty"; "Cleanses... softens... smooths...") advertising the benefits of Woodbury Beauty Cream and featuring a sexy image of Veronica Lake. Note that this is REALLY wonderful! Not only did the store that purchased this receive a great large standee (with easel backing), but the mailing carton converted into a cool standing window display that measures 15" x 29"! Printed on the inside of the mailing carton are instructions on how to convert that mailing carton (through simple folding) into the window display (and it is very easy and quick to do). The buyer of this item gets TWO wonderful and scarce Veronica Lake advertising items from 1944! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: very good. The items were never used. The standee had a sheet of brown paper that was intended to protect it, but over the many years, it caused darkening in the bottom area slightly including the bottom of the word "Woodbury" . There are also a few smudges in the top tagline area. But otherwise, the standee is in great condition, and it was never assembled. The mailing carton has staining and some tears on the part of it that folds back and becomes the back and base of the window display, but the area that becomes the front of the window display (which is the printed part of the bottom of the carton) has only some faint water staining in the upper left and some faint water staining in the top right of the cream jar and the yellow background next to it. Overall, I would think this display has survived in really nice condition, and while a professional could touch up the defects described above, I would think most collectors would be quite happy to display it just as it is!
