Mr. Ramone (a member of the punk rock band "The Ramones") had an amazing love of horror/sci-fi movie posters, and he amassed a major collection prior to his untimely passing. He can provide the new owner of the poster with a copy of the original invoice from when he purchased this poster in 2005. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had a circular foreign stamp in the top right corner. It had paper loss at the top and bottom crossfolds. It had extra horizontal folds just above the left half of the regular top and bottom horizontal folds. It had pinholes, tears, and some paper loss around the edges and tiny paper loss on small parts of some folds. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Note that either the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster, or possibly the owner of the poster chose to carefully trim off the excess, so that the poster would fit in a frame.
