Wallace Ford was an English actor from the 1930s to the 1960s. Some of his movies include: Shadow of a Doubt, Harvey, and The Set-Up. Note that a film historian tells us the following about Ford's mysterious past.

"A lot about his background is contradictory. All sources agree he was born in Britain, which is not what his mannerisms would suggest. For unclear reasons, he was given up by his parents to a British foster home but somehow ended up in a foster home in Canada. I've heard as many as 17 foster homes mentioned. Evidently he was abused or taken advantage of and ran away, joining a vaudeville group.

His real name was Samuel Jones Grundy and, accompanied by his best friend named Wallace Ford, the pair decided to try to illegally immigrate to the U.S. Somewhere along the journey, Ford was killed and Grundy ended up with the real Ford's I.D. and decided to enter his new life in America under that name.

Even details of his early career are hazy with some claiming that Ford was a member of the John Ford stock company and appeared in 13 Ford films. However, that's far from true as the only Ford films he was in are The Lost patrol, The Informer, The Whole Town's Talking and Last Hurrah".

Ford passed away in 1966 at the age of 68.

Condition: good to very good. One of the stills have been neatly trimmed at bottom, one still has an edge tear that was repaired with tape from the back, and several stills are in pretty nice condition.
