An Original Vintage Color 5" x 7" [13 x 18 cm] Fan Photo (Learn More)

George Pal was a producer and director from the 1930s to the 1970s. He specialized in movies with then-state-of-the-art special effects. Some of his works include: War of the Worlds, When Worlds Collide, Houdini, The Naked Jungle, The Time Machine, Atlantis, the Lost Continent, and 7 Faces of Dr. Lao. He had a series of stop-motion cartoons called "George Pal's Puppetoons". He passed away in 1980 at the age of 72.
Important Added Info: Note that this fan photo measures 5" x 7" [13 x 18 cm] and our consignor tells us that it came from collector Forrest J. Ackerman. It was taken at some convention where George Pal posed with a small version of the famous Time Machine. Note that Mr. Pal passed away in 1980, so the photograph must surely have been taken prior to that time, but this particular example of the photo was printed in 1982 (there are Kodak date stamps on the back), two years after he passed away.

Condition: good to very good. There are pinholes in the corners.
