An Original Vintage Theatrical Chapter #2 (Trapped) Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) The Range Fighter, the 1929 Clifford S. Elfelt silent cowboy western serial ("A Ten Episode Western Thriller"; "Synchronized with Sound Music and Talking Prologue") starring Ken Maynard, Peggy Montgomery, Melbourne MacDowell, Frank Whitson, and Henry Ward. In one of the most unusual cases of "recycling", a clever person bought the rights to the 1925 Ken Maynard movie, "Fighting Courage", in 1929, and they had it "synchronized with sound", which solely meant that they added music and a "talking prologue", and they divided the movie into 10 chapters, and called the result, which was this movie, a serial! We don't know if any new footage was added (we doubt it), and it might have been re-edited. They gave this movie the new title of "The Range Fighter", no doubt to fool moviegoers into thinking they were seeing a brand new Ken Maynard movie! We list "Fighting Courage" under a separate entry, because it is from four years before this revised version, and substantial changes were made. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: very good. There is a piece of tape on the back of each corner. Learn More about condition grades
