An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More)

Renfrew of the Royal Mounted, the 1937 Albert Herman Canada Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Mountie crime action thriller ("Suggested by the famous 'Renfrew' books by Laurie York Erskine") starring James Newill (in the title role as Sergeant Renfrow), Carol Hughes, William Royle, Herbert Corthell, Kenneth Harlan, and Lightning (billed as "Lightning the Wonder Dog"). Note that Lightning made an uncredited appearance in the 1934 movie, "The Case of the Howling Dog", and that got him discovered and he starred in a half dozen movies over the next three year, after which he retired from the screen!

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.

Condition: good to very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the top two crossfolds and some creases, tiny tears, and separation on parts of some foldlines. All of the blank borders were tattered, and the corners of the poster were clipped diagonally, just extending into the edges of the image. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and the restorer painted over all of the blank borders. You can see slight signs of the restoration on the vertical foldline, but otherwise, the poster displays quite nicely!
