An Original Vintage Scrapbook (measures 12 1/4" x 15 3/4"; 58 pages) (Learn More) Ginger Rogers (born Virginia Katherine McMath) was a highly successful actress from the 1930s and 1970s, who would have had a great career even if she hadn't appeared in ten movies where she was paired with Fred Astaire, although that is what she is best remembered for today! Some of her movies include: Top Hat, Gold Diggers of 1933, Swing Time, Stage Door, 42nd Street, The Gay Divorcee, The Major and the Minor, Shall We Dance, Kitty Foyle (winner of the Best Actress Academy Award for this film; in the title role as Kitty Foyle), and Follow the Fleet! She also had a successful Broadway career. Ginger passed away in 1995 at the age of 83. Important Added Info: Note that this scrapbook was created in the 1930s when Ginger Rogers was a major star. It has color covers that are the same and which feature great artwork of Rogers by Earl Christy. It has blank interior pages where one could paste in images of Ginger Rogers. The person who owned this scrapbook filled every page with pictures and stories cut from 1930s magazines, all about Ginger Rogers, and some of the images are color because they came from the covers of magazines. Condition: good. The interior pages of the scrapbook have darkened and are fragile, and there is chipping around the edges of the interior pages and also around the edges of the covers.
