An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Strange People, the 1933 Richard Thorpe courtroom jury murder crime melodrama (an unusual movie that begins one year after a jury convicted an innocent man of murder based on circumstantial evidence; that man's lawyer invites all of the 12 members of that jury to a house where he stages the murder of his assistant, and makes it look like one of the jury members did it; he then reveals that the "murdered man" is still alive, and realizing their error, all the jury members sign a petition to get the man they convicted pardoned, and he is set free!) starring John Darrow, Gloria Shea, Hale Hamilton, Wilfred Lucas, J. Frank Glendon, and Walter Brennan (in one of his first credited roles). Note that this movie has significant similarities to the classic play and movie, 12 Angry Men. We wonder if the author of that play saw this movie! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had paper loss at the top of the second "P" of "PEOPLE", just below the bottom crossfold, and two areas in the left border, slightly extending into the edge of the background. It also had pinholes and tears around the edges and some light water staining. Overall, the poster was in fair condition prior to linenbacking. Given the poster's many defects, the restorer did a pretty nice job, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Learn More about condition grades
